My 100 Goal Project

The coffee cups are always designers
in small towns.
This month I had the opportunity to attend an incredible women's conference and retreat called Camp Climb.

Kathleen Shannon of Being Boss Club led one of the keynote sessions. If you ever see her name listed as a conference or workshop speaker GO. She was fantastic. Search Being Boss in iTunes and you'll find their three podcasts that are perfect for entrepreneurs and goal setters. Spoiler alert: everyone should be a goal setter.

One of the concepts that Kathleen talked about was using goals to build confidence. Her 100 goal list really resonated with me. So last weekend I say down and wrote out my 100 goals.

I'll let you take a listen to this week's Squad Life podcast to hear how such a large number of goals gave me clarity and direction.

If you are looking for other ways to be consistent with your goals check out some of my favorite goal tools.

1. The Start Today Journal: Rachel Hollis map to how she has accomplished every single goal of hers. She has only accomplished a few things, right?!

2. Erin Condren Checklist Petite Journal: EC is known for her journals but what I really love is their quality of their notebooks. Use this link to receive $10 off your first order.

3. MIMI: This is one of the greatest apps out there but sadly it isn't available to everyone. As a Keep Collective or Stella and Dot Stylish you have access to this incredible app. It allows you to input your goals, track it visually, receive prompts on which customers you should follow up with and more. If you are a part of the Stella & Dot Family and Brands and not using MIMI you aren't using it right.

4. Post-it Big Notes: I love to make sure my goals are visible. These giant post it notes are perfect to put on your door, wall or fridge. Make your goals visible to your family too. This will help them buy in, respect the time you are putting and you can celebrate together when you have accomplished the goal.

As you work on your goals I would love for you to share a screenshot on social using the hasthag #thesquadlife or tagging me @crystalcattle.

Squad Life: Launching a Beauty Brand with Nikki Hynek

You all know that I am a beauty products junkie. Two years ago I was attending a conference where Nikki Hynek, founder of Dollup Beauty, was one of the keynote speakers. I was awestruck by her make it work attitude. This girl HUSTLES.

Since the age of seven, Nikki knew that she wanted a product base business. As a make up artist and aesthetician, ideas constantly ran through her head until she landed on the Dollup Beauty case. A hardshell, magnetic case that keeps all of your favorite beauty products and tools in one place. However, despite Nikki's passion for the product and hustle the launch of the Dollup case can't be defined as an instant success. Through a lot of determination was Dollup Case has been the catalyst for the Dollup Beauty line and The Pretty Lane store front and beauty education boutique. Yes, Nikki opened a store front during a time when so many store fronts are closing.

In this week's episode you'll learn how to:
  • recover from failure
  • have a follow up mentality
  • rethink that vision board.

Plus, you know that Nikki and I are going to talk a little beauty because their powder highlighter in the shade Lavish is one of my MUST HAVE beauty products.

Squad Life: How to move from corporate career to owning your own business with Nichole Rohrich

How does one go from dream corporate career, to side gig to owning your own business? Nichole Rohrich, boy mom of soon to be FOUR figured it all out and even was able to get Rachel Hollis to wear one of her Minted Olive shirts. A graphic designer by trade, Nichole felt she reached the peak in her corporate career fairly early. As she was looking for more she thought a side gig might help her continue to explore her creative side. She joined Keep Collective, the same social selling business that I am a part of, for the the discounted jewelry, however she quickly fell in love, worked her butt off and found success hitting #3 in sales company wide in 2017. KEEP grew Nichole's confidence, network and business skills, giving her the courage to start The Minted Olive in the fall of 2017 with her husband David. Today, along with her family The Minted Olive is her sole focus.

The Minted Olive is all about living your best, most comfy life. And I can attest that Nichole's T-shirts and sweatshirts are some of the coziest ones in my closet. Nichole designs each shirt to reflect joy, gratitude or the chaos that life hands us.

If you are sitting there wanting more yourself, or a little inspiration on how to handle life, kids and your passions this is the episode for you.
