Christmas is around the corner - Part II

Well Christmas is almost here, so I thought I had better get my pictures up! Back in October I had the pleasure of visiting Nell Hill's - an amazing home decor store.

I really wanted to add some Christmas/Winter flare to the candelier in our kitchen. And this is how it all turned out...

The tree branches are actually fake. Nell Hill's had all kinds of different greenery to buy!

I love these glass tear drops, and the snowflakes. The whole project cost about $70. I think we'll be able to leave it up well passed Christmas.

I also wanted to let all my readers know that I Believe Tuesday's will be postponed until I get back from my Christmas holidays. I'm back home in Canada right now so the posts might be a little sparse, but I promise to post lots of pictures and stories upon my return. Have a wonderful Christmas!

Why are we so adamant about finding out every single detail. Isn't there something to be said for a little mystery. Or maybe the big guy has a reason why we shouldn't know.

Sorry for the delay. I feel bad especially with all my new followers and my faithful readers! This past week I have been in Louisville for the NAILE - lots of details on that to come.

I believe...
That the people you care about the most in life are taken from you too soon.

I recently found out a very good friend of my family's passed away. Jim Miller was an awesome man, and had an awesome family. When I was born he wrote me this letter. Encouraging me as a future business women to become involved with his horses, and that I would make a fine jockette. However, it would require a strict diet of Angus beef. I would have to insist that parents feed me Angus beef, which is funny because 1. my family raised Simmental cattle, and 2. I actually work for the Angus Association now. Good people are taken from each day, but they leave many lessons and memories behind!

that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

We have made it week four!

I Believe-
that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

This is true because although the weekend was crazy busy, sitting on the coach watching Grey's was almost as good as the rest.

I Believe... Part III

It's Tuesday! And who could think of a better way to start of the week!

Here are Tuesday's "I Believe" lessons. To read other the other "I Believe" posts, use that new handy little search bar and search I Believe.

This weeks I Believe's have a little story behind them. One of our wonderful interns from this summer sent me a message yesterday that really brightened my day. She also told me that she posted the "I Believe" messages on her mirror during her freshman year of college and looked at it every morning. I am thinking that my mirror might be getting an update. These are some of her favorites.

I believe - maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I believe - even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you - you will find the strength to help.

I believe - just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I believe - you can keep going long after you think you can't

I believe - when you think things are going to be okay...they never are. believe anyway.

I Believe... Part II

I Believe-
that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I Believe-
that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down, will be the ones who help you get back up.

I Believe-
that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I really like the second one. I really can't hold a grudge against someone someone very long. I wouldn't call myself someone that just wants everyone get a long, but I will sure try and see the positive in a person, until I have a firm reason reason to believe otherwise.

I believe... Part I

Oh the things you can find on restaurant walls...

Today, some of my coworkers and I headed out to Jimmy John to grab a quick lunch, that's their slogan right "Speedy Fast." Now I'll be honest I have probably ate more late night Jimmy Johns' sandwiches in Aggieville than I have ate during "normal feeding" hours.

The point of this post though is today I noticed a poster in the store that really made me think called I Believe. So from now on every Tuesday will be "I Believe Tuesday," until I run out of quotes.

I Believe-
that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you once in a while and you must forgive them 
I Believe-
that we don't have to change friends, if we understand that friends change.

I Believe-
that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.
